Separation Anxiety
This is common to children who have not been away from home and also to those who are just
making a change in caregivers. We have found if the primary caregiver can ease the child in their
new school experience then both the child and the parent benefit. We encourage parents to spend
a few days before enrollment visiting My Little University with your child.That way the parent will
get first hand experience on how our wonderful staff comfort and interact with the children at MLU.
When the time comes to say "goodbye" say it and let your child gain confidence and have the
reassurance you will be back. Usually there is 2-3 week adjustment period for the child to bond
with us. So "take a deep breath and relax and know your child is in safe, loving, capable care and
learning just what they need to learn at this level".
